Time to Say Goodbye!
The Software Construction (SWC) Teaching and Research Group was dissolved upon the retirement of Prof. Dr. Horst Lichter on August 1, 2026.
The SWC was founded on March 1, 1998, as part of the Chair of Software Engineering. On this website, you will find information about our main activities (publications, teaching, and research projects), as well as about the people who made up the SWC.
As with any project, there is still some work to be completed on the “SWC” project. Therefore, we will continue to publish updates here regarding the research projects that are still in progress.
But, there's good news, too!
Prof. Dr. Ronny Seiger is establishing the new Software Architecture teaching and research group (SWA), thereby establishing this important field — highly relevant to the software industry — within the Faculty of Computer Science.
